San Juan of Gaztelugache

Gaztelugatxe in Bermeo is  an islet (Biscay, Basque Country, Spain). It is linked to the mainland by a bridge of two arches. On the island there is a chapel dedicated to San Juan, dating from the tenth century, although some discoveries dating from the ninth century. Along with another small island nearby, Aketze, form a protected biotope, which extends from the town of Bakio to Cape Machichaco in the gulf of Biscay.
